What is anthony steels?

Anthony Steels (born 29th October 1926, died 12th July 2006) was an English actor who worked both on stage and screen. He was born in London and made his debut in films at the age of 17. Some of his notable films include "The Lavender Hill Mob", "The Green Man", "The Pride and the Passion" and "The Vikings". He was also known for his roles in television series like "The Adventures of Robin Hood", "The Saint" and "The Avengers". Steels served in the British Army during World War II and was awarded the Military Cross for bravery. He was married to actress Anne Taylor with whom he had two children.
